Protection level III+ S-Type
Ballistic plates of Level III+ provide protection between Level III and Level IV as defined in NIJ STD 0101.04, particularly with respect to 5.56mm SS 109 caliber ammunition. MDP produces two versions of Level III+ plates (see other plate below). The external layer can be plastic or fabric. See the table below for protection factor within defined velocities.
