The plates may come with additional layer made of foam that serves as anti-trauma layer.
Foam is 10 mm thick.
Plates with protection level IV, the highest level produced, provide protection against armor-piercing bullets, providing maximum safety to soldiers. See the table below for protection factors within defined velocities according to NlJ Standard 0101.04.
The external layer can be plastic or fabric.
Plates can be produced as single-curve or multi-curve.

Bearing in mind the continual struggle to find lighter-weight solutions for soldiers’ equipment, Mile Dragic Production has introduced a significantly lighter version of the Level III+ plate, and that is E-TYPE plate. For two plates of this type, the front and rear one, the weight savings is arround 800g, or 3.4 lbs. See the table bellow for protection factor within defined velocities.

Ballistic plates of Level III+ provide protection between Level III and Level IV as defined in NIJ STD 0101.04, particularly with respect to 5.56mm SS 109 caliber ammunition. MDP produces two versions of Level III+ plates (see other plate below). The external layer can be plastic or fabric. See the table below for protection factor within defined velocities.

The ballistic plate of protection Level III provides protection against the types of ammunition listed in the table below, as well as protection against ammunition up to Level III as defined in NlJ standard 0101.04. In addition to the mentioned grains, the Level III plate provides protection against all types of common grain rifle ammunition, including 7,9 mm caliber. The external layer can be plastic or fabric. This plate, as all other MDP plates, is shaped to provide a comfortable fit on the front and back. The table below lists the ballistic protection factors of the plates with respect to various types of ammunition within defined velocities. Plates can be produced as single curve or multi curve.
